A perfume's price depends on many factors that have nothing to do with the quality of the juice itself: packaging, marketing, brand licensing, distribution channels. Some emerging brands, particularly Middle Eastern ones like Lattafa and Armaf, produce fragrances with an olfactory structure close to much more prestigious names, at a fraction of the price. None of these perfumes are identical, molecule for molecule, to the pricier fragrances they're compared to: exact formulas are trade secrets, and it's normal (and legal) for different houses to draw on the same fragrance family or underlying idea. What we're saying is that, in practice, the perceived gap is often much smaller than the price gap.
